Throughout my career I have acted as a consultant for small business entrepreneurs, helping them with everything from ID and branding to site design, graphic illustration and even video. I’m especially happy to help NGOs and non-profits.
We were looking to capitalize on our network development competency but retain the historic connection to gaming.
The extant site was childish and didn’t represent who we had become.

We had fun and we worked hard.
Heat was one of the internet’s first multiplayer gaming sites.

Building a big presence with a little budget
Segasoft.com had been created as a destination for young gamers. Following the development of Heat.net and the Dreamcast Network, the company shifted its focus to network development. Unfortunately, neither financial nor personnel resources were allocated to rebuilding the corporate presence to reflect the new business model.
Working with content from the existing site and text from a new marketing brochure, I created a web site to position SegaSoft as the cutting edge company we wanted to be. I created custom art and built all the pages.

Point Reyes Farmstead – Homepage
Point Reyes Blue is now featured in markets and on chef’s tables across the country.
Brochure site was entirely hand-coded.

Bringing the family farm to life online
Point Reyes Farmstead is a family-run California cheese company. They wanted a site that would reflect the elegant, sophisticated nature of their brand, while creating a friendly environment that would entice repeat visitors to the site. It was important that the site be simple to navigate and resolve well on all browsers and web connections. We decided to let the beautiful photos of the facilities, family and landscape drive the site. A simple layout was introduced and a photo tour was added to showcase the visuals.

gallery site prototype
This immersive flash site was designed as a prototype for the Art Center Environmental Department. It includes an expanding, interactive navigational device, and customizable rooms. The site has a dedicated gallery section, however the entire design is a showcase for student work.
The site was created with Ludmil Trenkov and Syuzi Pakhchyan of ACCD’s MPD program. I designed the pages and built the flash. Sadly flash is no longer supported so we can’t share the original site.

Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover Website
My first project with Segasoft was formatting hairstyles for Cosmopolitan Virtual Makeover. I later developed the brochure site.
As a freelance designer I created many brochure style sites for small and medium sized businesses.

I’m a firm believer that a clear, strategic process is the surest path to a successful design solution. I work with clients to help delineate their goals, and develop creative briefs that explain how a particular approach will address these goals.
In larger, more complex projects a clear project plan and timeline is absolutely essential. Clients are often surprised to discover how accurately the upfront, careful planning nets out in design solutions that target their goals.
