The History of
The Pneumatic
As told by Brandon Finch:
Owners John Jesse and Tim Healion were waiters and rollerskaters in Phoenix, Arizona. One of the guys chased a girl through several different communities and ended up in Reno. They met another women named Annette and started a restaurant called Cochon Volant (french for Flying Pig). It didn't work out so they started their own place the Deux Gros Nez, which was sort of a scotch bar/cafe/restuarant. It's still going. June 14th will be the 12th year anniversary.
About two and a half years after that the Pnuematic was started as a secondary project, just to see what they could do differently. This place has been around nine years, never advertised. John started the computer space about a year ago.
They used to have live music up in the cubby hole. For a while they had a table up there. Now it has free web access for everyone. The computer and hardware were donated by Layne Hansen and Fred Radford, of Arrow Crab Internet, who provide I.S.P. support.
