  ACCD Environmental Design
Department interactive
gallery site prototype

This immersive flash site was designed as a prototype for the Art Center Environmental Department. It includes an expanding, interactive navigational device, and customizable rooms. This site has a dedicated gallery section, however the entire design is a showcase for student work.

The site was created with Ludmil Trenkov and Syuzi Pakhchyan of ACCD's MPD program. I designed the pages and built the flash.

My role on the project included art direction, design, and all production.

I created these deliverables
• Site design comps
• Site flash modules
• Site HTML

ACCD’s Environmental Design department emphasized the understanding of space, among other design concepts. We applied that approach to the proposed site, creating a number of “scenes” for various sections of the site. The navigation consisted of an animated ball that deconstructed into fragments when clicked, each of which provided access to various areas of the site.

We integrated environmental student spatial experiments as background images for the various sections. We turned the site itself into a customizable gallery space by providing student furniture and lighting project examples that could be moved in the page, cycled through and swapped out.

Spaces varied for each section of the site. The customizable elements were fun to play with and gave users an awareness of the incredible breadth of creative talent and professionalism in the program.
